The Marketing Generalist is responsible for a wide range of tasks within the marketing department, covering various aspects of the marketing mix. The generalist should be versatile, able to wear many hats, and possess a broad skill set to handle various marketing functions effectively. The role requires a combination of creativity, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills. Reports to: Marketing Operations Director

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy:
  • Contribute to the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Digital Marketing:
  • Manage digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media.
  • CRM/contact management as well as web management and content onboarding.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of digital marketing efforts.
  • Social Media Management:
  • Create and curate content for social media channels, executing posts, and responding to comments and engaging with the audience.
  • Track and analyze social media metrics, such as reach, engagement, and conversion rates, and use insights to optimize strategy and content.
  • Brand Management:
  • Ensure consistency in branding across all marketing materials and channels.
  • Monitor and protect the organization's brand image and reputation.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
  • Track and analyze marketing metrics to assess the performance of campaigns.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to management for data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with leads and other departments to ensure alignment in messaging and goals.
  • Communicate marketing strategies and results effectively to stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and Learning:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices in marketing.
  • Adapt to changes in the market and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Ability to multitask, time-manage, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 3 years relevant experience
  • Deliver quality work while adhering to the production schedule and deadlines.
  • Adaptable to work independently, set and prioritize projects to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work well independently, and collaborate well with creative direction.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and work well with others and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to visualize, analyze, and organize Islamic academic research through working knowledge of the basic beliefs, values, and practices of Islam.
